  1. Hi again guys.

I have now got my HDD replaced and have got a completely clean install of XP.

I have installed the ASPI divers from Adaptec for XP.
I have installed CloneAD and read the user guide thoroughly
I have installed DVD2VCD and TMPG

CloneAD reads the DVD info OK but when I click on start it just quickly flashes to the progress bar then back to status bar.

If I select No IFO Parsing and select RIP entire DVD, it progresses but creates very very small VOB's.

Is there anything I am missing?

Using AMD XP1700+, 512Mb Ram, XP.
    Backing up Con Air (R2)

  2. I am have exactly the same problem as you are. I have been browsing FAQ's for a few hours now, have not found an answer.

I am using CLAD DVD XP 1.3 in Windows 2K.
I downloaded and installed ASPI 4.71.

On closer inspection I just ran aspi check and now it says I am back to 4.5.7 even though I ran the 4.71. What gives?!

Well, I am going to work on that issue for now.

If anyone has an answer as to why CladDVD runs and shows progress for ripping a DVD (took around 6 minutes) but then the resulting file is less than 1 meg in size.. help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks All
    LS

  3. open the ripped vob files in dvd2avi and preview/scan what is on the vob files, that might give a hint.

also you can go to nero (ahead) homepage and they have a wnaspi32.dll you can download. whenever I have a program that has a aspi problem I just drag and drop this dll into the root directory for that program and usually fixes it.
