help with vcd & svcd conversion

8) hi all, ive got some svcd & vcd that i want to add menus and chapters to. ive read the authors section as how to do it but the file formats of these films are DAT FILES then it says avseq01. none of the programmes i have tried recognise these files. do i need to convert them back and if so what do i use and how do i do it

First you copy the DAT-file to your harddisk.

You probably wont need to convert the dat file, if its already a VCD mpeg just use it as it is. If you want to play the .dat movie just double click it and select open with Media Player.

If you really want to change it back to a standard Mpeg without the VCD headers, use VCDGear
