  1. Ok the problem is this .. I have the spiderman file encoded to svcd (MPEG2) unfortunately my DVD player doesn't like SVCD's. However in the past I have performed a simple multiplex on the file then burned it as a standard VCD and It plays on my DVD with no loss of quality.

However when trying to perform the simple multiplex this time it stops after about 9 mins (video time) and says:

76762 s packets cause buffer underflow
The MPEG might cause error when it played.

Anybody got any ideas how to correct this?

  2. I have exactly the same problem with lord of the rings, I've tried other files and had the same buffer underflow, the picture just comes out green with large pixels.

The instructions are the fourth one down at http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayershack.php?select=Sony%20DVP-NS400

Has anyone got it to work before, or is there another way of doing it?

  3. Is it disk 2 of the centropy spiderman release that shows this problem, it was for me! I couldn't find a fix so I re-encoded it in TmpGenc (to SVCD and then did simple multiplex). Slight loss of quality but it worked!

  4. I found another instruction page and it says that the multiplexed file may appear green with large pixels when you try and play it on the computer, but this makes no difference once you burn the file. So even though i got the buffer underflow error again i burned the new file using nero and it worked fine in my dvd player, playing it as an svcd thinking its a vcd.
