I have downloaded many simpsons almost all of which are in AVI which i convert to MPG with AVI2VCD, i burnt my first DVD today that worked in my standalone player which is connected to my SONG VEGA, I noticed the quality is much worse than that of what is normally broadcasted, what kind of settings do I need to change in TMPG to convert the file that AVI2VCD produces, in order to get great quality, I have a pretty high end system so i dont have to wait that long, thanks in advance, boy i know that sounds confusing but it isnt really

Use TMPGenc to convert the original AVI to MPEG using the VCD template supplied with the download. You still might not be happy with the quality if you want to watch it on your TV because chances are what you're downloading is a Divx or something and already compressed a lot. Your best best, really, is to spend the relatively small price of a basic TV tuner card and make your own.
