  1. Hi Guys!
I've had a look through the site and forums and haven't managed to solve my problem - but I have an avi file which plays fine in windows media player - but I want to encode it and burn it as a VCD, and when I try with TMPGEnc 5.62 I get a black screen and just the audio... I did a scan with virtual dub and no bad screens but Im not sure what else I can do - anyone know how I can solve this one? Any help would be killer-
    Thanks guys!
    Andy!

  2. Use Virtual Dub to framserve the AVI to TMPG this elimated 90% of my problems with TMPG. There is a tutorial on this site. Set VD to Direct stream copy to be sure it does no processing on the AVI.

Hmm... I can't find that tutorial on the site... where about is it..? And how much H-drive space will a 30 min file take..? When I have tried making files before it's been many gigs and I haven't that much space to spare!
    Massive thanks!
