  2. Try lowering your bitrate on your video and audio.

Yes it's your program. It allows for only standard SVCD parameters which will only encode 35 min. on a CDR. Therfore it will take 4 CDR's to encode a 2 hour movie. Check your progam to see if it allows changing the video and audio birate. It it doesn't you need a program like Tmpeg.

    Thanks for your answers!!!

Like I said, I'm new at this så I wonder, if i lower the biterate, won't the quality be just lika a normail VCD instead of a SVCD.

If I can get a nice result by lowering the biterate, what shall it be?? I want to have a nice picture.

Hope someone have an answer for me.

    Regards Susanne from Sweden.

Check out http://www.svcd.cc/index.htm for the highest quality SVCD using less discs than you do now.8)

I encode 2 hour movies at 1600 for video and 128 for audio. That allows you to put one hour on a CDR. It won't be as good as normal SVCD but it will be much better than VCD which is 1150 for video.

  7. Use TMPG and encode with VBR (varial bitrate) instead CBR (constant bitrate) much better quality than having a movie at 1600. With VBR you could set your minimum to 0 your average to 1750-2500 or so and your maximum to what ever your DVD player can play with a smaller file size than with CBR.
