I used TMPGenc to convert an avi file to mpeg1. I have the sound but no picture. The avi file has picture and sound when I play it. During the conversion no picture showed up -only a black screen. That is what I have when I play the mpeg1. Please offer suggestions anyone.

unload and reload tempg,i had the same problem, and make sure to run the VFP bat file befor you use it.i have been using Sefy's templates(SeVCD)and they have worked well for me.be sure to put in the video and audio source each time you open tmpge as it will show the last one you did but the file are not reloaded.load a temp.,go to settings, advance tab and double click on source range, drag the bar across and see if you have a picture,if you do cool.just set he start frame and the end frame and encode,if you don't try another vers of tmpeg i use the h vers.let us know
