after several hours of working how to make a vcd thanx to all u people out there for your help once i have put it through tmpenc do i have to wait for the encoding to process or can i just burn this to disc

yes, amazingly enough you must wait for the encoding to finish. your machine will crawl while it is encoding(unless you lower the thread priority), but it is usable for other tasks
