  1. k guys, here goes, I've got a mini home theater thing going here and I've got a 27 inch, reciever, player, the works. the thing is, my shelving unit places the tv on the right side and the components on the left. the left speaker is about 4 feet away, however, the right speaker is next to the tv practically. These speakers are 12 inch monsters with 3 tweaters or what not, and then I have my small 8 inchs on top, which are actually my surround, but I haven't fashioned mounting brackets yet. Anyhow, when a movie is over (DVD) and the credits starts rolling, the white from the text is stretched from the text itself all the way across the right side of the screen, only it much lighter, and a blur. I'm connected with Monster silver svideo connectors for video, I'm thinking its just the speakers? but maybe its the tv? anyone know? thanks guys-

  2. ok, its 4:30 in the morning, but I've done some testing, and determined its not the tv, or the cable, but the player, my sony seems to be the one that does it, the Apex I bought, placed two shelves lower doesnt do it when tested with the same movies. I'm going to mess with power supply, etc, later

  3. It is probably the magnetic field coming off the speakers that is causing your problem. Most older type and cheaper speakers are not magnetically shielded and therefore cause that type of problem. On the old speakers that I had if you placed them too close to the TV they would distort the colours on the edges.

I have never heard of any other appliance/piece of equipment causing that sort of trouble but could be a chance.
