    Who knows about vob file size. When I rip one dvd (117 min movie)
    I get file size 4.2 Gb. Another movie (116 min long) gives 5.2 Gb file
    size. Thank you for any help

    VOB is basically a variable bitrate MPEG-2. Since it's variable there's no guarantee that two different movies of the same length will produce a file the same size.
