  1. hi guys.. would just like to ask...

at the moment i have a sony dcr110e and i use the above firewire card to capture my video.. i used video studio to capture since my pinnacle studio kept on stopping after a certain time..after capturing my video i edited it using pinnacle after which i made my video cd and to my disbelief the output was very bad.. all i can see are sort of squares (more like pixels is the right term) and am wondering what went wrong.. was it my capture card or the software i used to capture my video? perhaps you guys can suggest a place or link i can read on what the ideal capture settings on a capture software should be.. (like frame rates, what type of stereo and the like...)

whats the best (but not expensive) capture card i can use?

at the moment i have an OHCI firewire and am doubtful it its any good.. am thinking of getting a pinnacle firewire but will this be an answer to my current woes? (though i think not... )

hope there are good souls out there that can help me.. thank you....

  2. OK, let's start with the basics, and get you a good answer as quickly as possible:

-How much money are you willing to spend?
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
