  1. I am new to this vcd game. But i have a 2 questions. the first question is- I started using TMPGenc about 2 days ago and i was able to encode .m2v files to .mpg. Both audio and video. But today it will only allow me to encode the video part to .mpg. It is missing the audio. Can someone please help me. I am converting music videos. Please let me know why TMPGenc is messing up

My next question is how do you play .m2v files on a dvd player. All the music video files I have are in the .m2v format. Can they be played on a dvd player? Any help would be appreciated.

.m2v is a video only file. You have to have a seperate audio file.
An m2v is a video only file that's been de-muxed from an mpg, vob, etc.

Yes you can open an m2v in a software DVD player. I do it in Power DVD. Use the open media file function.
