  1. Hey guys.. I recently got a dc30 + leadtek geforce 256 sdr to replace my old marvel g400 and the capture functions work great..

Whenever I capture avi files @ 704x480 and try to encode them in any version of tsunami, after it reaches the 4-6 second mark in the avi tmpeg just bombs out(just closes).. If I try to run a virtual dub frame server virtual dub will bomb out.. If I try to edit and export an avi with virtual dub it will just bomb out.. If I run a frame server with premiere 6 premiere will bomb out.. The only thing that does work is exporting in premiere.. If I export the avi after doing all the editing at 704x480 tmpeg still wont encode it and I dont want to have to use the resize function in premiere because it isnt as good the resize function in virtual dub or tsunami. Ive tried everything with this but I cant figure out whats going on.. Here is some information on my setup

    MSI K7T Turbo KT133A Motherboard
    Duron 600
    Maxtor 46GB ata100 7200rpm drive
    Quantum 18.2GB ata66 7200rpm drive
    128MB PC133 RAM
Leadtek Geforce256 SDR 32MB AGP card
    Windows 2000 w/ SP1
    Premiere 6
    Tmpegenc versions 12a-12i not working

I have a bunch of 704x480 avi's that I want to encode on this machine because my other machine is a celeron 300a but takes at least 8 hours to encode SVCD's and 4 hours to encode a standard vcd over there whereas it takes maybe an hour over here.. All my videos are maybe 5 minutes in legnth at most.. In order to encode on the machine with the celeron I installed the morgan mjpeg codec and it works fine over there.. That machine runs winme, has 64mb ram and uses an abit bx6 revision 2 motherboard. I had the morgan codec installed on this machine here(being the duron 600) but it conflicted or something with the miro codec so I had to uninstall it. The miro cap software refused to work if I had any other mjpeg codecs installed for some reason. Anyone out there have any suggestions? One thing thats certain, if I capture at 352x240 I can encode or export or do anything with that avi just fine but I guess its when it has to resize when it bombs out or something?
