Hi,
I have burnedabout a dozen SVCDs and now when I try to play the latest ones I am getting an error every time on th JVC player. I have tried reburning image files of SVCDs from previous sessions and these also giove error. So I am wondering is it the JVC (3 weeks old JVC XV-S300BK) or is there something wrong with the LiteOn 1610 cd writer which is also only about 8 months old.
Any help VERY welcome
PS I have restored an original Norton Ghost image of a previous working XP config and still nothing.

Update,
I powered off the JVC DVD Player from the wall socket and when I plugged it back it it started reading again. Is it possible that it is switching between PAL and NTSC ?? and repowering it sets it to whatever cd is in the tray ??
Thanks for any help

you may also find that if you use some cd disks will not play on some players. Try pinco it works all more than most.
