  1. Sorry to be a pest and all, but I want to know what is the best possible setting that I can use to make my VCD high quality. I want to know if It is necessary to make the VCD file smaller to fit the test or will most dvd players atuomatically set it to fit the tv screen?

  2. VCD standard is 352X240 NTSC or 352X288 PAL

when you encode (with tmpgenc) it will automatically make it so it will fit the TV screen if you select Full Screen Keep Aspect Ratio - bear in mind that if the source is whide screen it will also be widescreen on the TV (which i personally prefer because you get to see the "whole" movie as it was in the cinema. if you are encoding divX's which tend to have all sorts of wierd aspect ratios, choose 1:1 vga for SOURCE and 352x2xx for the encoded video. look at the conversion guide on this site for VCDs

  3. all well and good if your tv don't overscan. If it do your gonna need to look at resizing. Do a search on overscan. Plenty of reading.
