Is there any possibility to see vcds (made from divx) with another encoder faster. The prob with xing seems to have an logical solution no ? PLEASE help !!!

I don't think, that many peoples here use the xing encoder. Also I dont think, that your dvd player has problems with the MPEG encoder. The problem is rather the way how you have multiplexed the MPEG and -even more important- how you have authored and burnt the MPEG to VCD.

nope is the napa . I made 20 vcds to test it . I used the guides that i found here . All 20 vcds are playing in the pc but not in napa . Napa is problematic . Take a look here : http://www.tmpgenc.net/cgi-bin/ebbs/board.cgi?board=tmpgenc (put on search box thew word : napa) . Only two encoders are good enought to produce an vcd playable with napa :
    a) Panasonic encoder works perfectly but it is slow .
    b) xing that works till one percentuall and then stops and says :
The video data rate is too low to encode this file. Try encoding again using a profile with a higher video data rate.
Now all the cds that i made have not asynch probs etc . The trick at the brinkster site dosent work so the existence and only of that site means that napa is problematic with 80% of the encoders. Napa is also problematic with CCE /tmpgenc/LSX MPEG Encoder Suite 2.0
so what can i do ? I think that the prob at xing is rather silly to fix ...
    thanks anyway !
