Hi,
I've downloaded some split movie files with a "ts" extension. I don't know what it means. I've tried all players and codecs, but I canīt run them. Are they encripted? How do I join the split files and watch the videos?
Thanks for any help,
DJ Chacal.

What size are they, how do you know they are split files ? have you tried renaming the ts to .AVI or .Mpeg ?
Are they WinZip files (.TZ) -
TS usually means TeleSynch and are usually .mpg, .avi, or a .bin-.cue.
What movie is it? -
Sorry, my mistake, the files actually have an .avi extension. Still, They have this "TS" attachment and I can't play them. One of the movie4s I got whas minority Report, supposedly in Divx, split in two parts. Do I have to join them or is it a special codec?

No that is a telesynch file some one either extracted the mpg file from the bin/cue file or just downloaded the mpg file then reencoded it to Divx or what ever the file is. It sould be in mpg format. I don't know why you can't watch it did you try DivxFix (strip the index then rebuild the index) that might fix it. Go to www.isonews.com and click on VCD these are all the Telesynchs that are out there and they are all suppose to be either VCD or SVCD format in a bin/cue file. And the only Minority Reports that are out are all VCD and look and sound like crap you are probably better off to go pay and watch the movie then those VCDs except Centropy movies they make SVCDs that are the best quality out there but I think that group quit and now the Telesynch movies all kind of suck.
