  2. Hands down, Nero wins the prize.... Just open the program Nero, the wizard will open. It will ask what type of cd you want to burn, choose "other format", in the next window, choose "Video CD", then "finish". Drag and drop your file from the explorer on the right side and drop it on the left side. It will check the file, then you're ready to burn (drag and drop). After burning it will play in ANY stand alone dvd player.

Won't play in my RCA 5220P but Nero has a secondary menu if you open the Wizard select video format then close the Wizard before completing the request. That menu has all the file formats available: CD data, CD audio, VCD, SVCD, mixed format, etc. Also the way you want the CD/DVD burned, speed, etc. I have been using this menu to do SVCDs I get from USENET groups. Works great!

  4. That RCA player won't play anyting from what I have seen and read except for store bought DVD's and CD's. I was able to burn a disk that DVD-R that worked on everything else but that RCA RC5220P and got one burn to work on this player but not on anything else. My old RCA 5000P plays everything great.
I have read alot of bad things about that player here and am disappointed that I ever got it in the first place.
