I just get done ripping it with smartripper and then I open dvdx and try to open the ifo file. I get this: "error: MPEG2Dec: Error during decoder initialisation" Any help would be appreciated!

Good Luck trying to get help on this one. I have the same problem with a couple of movies that I ripped. I even e-mailed Sefy myself and still have gotten no reply. I really need a solution so I can get the VOB files off my HD.

OK. I went to the article and did what it suggested. I opened the mpg (VOB) files. This worked great, the only problem is it doesn't encode the last 5 chapters. So it is basically not encoding the last VOB file. Now what do I do?

Alrighty!!!!! I found a solution. It is a long drawn out process, but it works for this problem. Go to http://www.divx.net.nz/guides/dvd_divx/index.htm. If you have problems finding the down loads for any of these please send me a private message and I can send you the files via e-mail.

One more thing I forgot to tell you. If you do decide to go this route, download Gordian Knot first. It has several of the programs you need to go through this process.
