I recently started using DVD2SVCD and found some '1-pass' settings that seem to give very good results, and save alot of time. I was curious how much of a difference more passes makes, so I did a test chapter using 1-pass, 3-pass and 5-pass, and to be honest, I did not see one bit of difference. I am wondering if multiple passes really only make a noticable difference in low-bitrate situations? In other words, since I only did a 2-minute clip, it was done at a very high bitrate each time, so there was little room for improvement. But if I do, say, 75 minutes onto 1 cd, that would be done at a low bitrate, and the difference in passes would be VERY noticable. But I'm just guessing. Is this correct? Oh this is using the CCE encoder.
