    I'm planning on upgrading for DVD & VHS to VCD converting.
    mostly music videos so i can compile my own videos
    any suggestions for
    capture card
    dvd rom
    video card (I,m not a game player)
    and software
    and anything i forgot to mention
    (also let me know if there is any crap out there to stay away from)

    is that all you ever think about?
    no....theres also beer football and rock n' roll!

    Your budget.

    I hate budgets. But I do like bargains
