  1. I have a LG to 4210, I have used the hack to make it play VCD's, the problem is it does not play all the VCD's I have bought. I put this down to the different media that the films are copied to i.e different brands of CD. My question is can I copy the disks that do not run to my hard drive and then burn them back to a different disk that might run? if so I do I do this using Nero?

If youve tracked it down to just certain media types or brands that don't work...then you are ahead of the curve....
Yes you can use Nero > disc copy> disc at once...I would copy to hard drive then to VCD though to help reduce errors.
You can also just copy to dat file of the VCD to the hard drive then convert that back to mpg with some thing like VCDgear ( very fast ) then burn using Nero or what ever...and make your own menus or what have you.

  3. 1. Put the VCD into your cdrom drive.
    2. Open the MPEGAV folder on the VCD and copy the avseq01.dat (or whatever is in that folder) onto your hard drive.
    3. Go to www.vcdgear.com and download the latest version of vcdgear.
    4. In the main screen of vcdgear, choose [.DAT to .MPG] conversion method , select the DAT file and click START. It will create an mpg file.
    5. Burn the output file with Nero. :P :P .

There ya have it. It should work. Never tried it before, but if the store-bought vcds have the same structure as burnt ones, it should work perfectly.
