  1. Hi,

I was wondering if you can use a downsampled m2v file created
from a vob file series..and remux that into that video file so you
end up with the same vob set, just a smaller file so it can fit on a dvd-r.
And, I am hoping to do this without reauthoring the dvd.

    Any suggestions??

  2. In short - yes.
(but it's gonna cost you some time....)
First grab a copy of ifoedit. Then use it to strip away all your unwanteds, and you will be left with your movie. Load up the correct .ifo file of the movie (this is after reencoding with rempeg) and press VOB EXTRAS and you can re-mux the new video stream back in. This does not however work with TMPGEnc, (don't know why) and cce can be used in conjunction with scenarist to get everything right, then remux with ifoedit. And DONT expect to get it right the first time!!!
Remember when the only way to see a movie uncut was to go to the theatre?

  3. Thanx..so:

1: remove all unwanted with ifoedit..Do I also remove the video stream from the vob?

    2: reencode the video stream.

3: and just remux it back in and this shall be all?

or do I have to use CCE/Scenarist? for what tasks?
