I capture video (29.97 NTSC of 24FPS telecined film) from a Sony DigiBeta via SDI with a Targa 2000 DDR card. This results in a uncompressed 4:2:2 component Quicktime .mov (Y'CbCr) @ 720x486. I am having major problems encoding this to MPEG-2 for DVD-R. I have tried TMPGenc and CCE 2.62 and have not found the right combination that will give me stable MPEG-2 video. I want to keep my video interlaced, but unless I use a de-interlace filter, I get blockiness and jitter. What settings would you recommend to get me started? Thanks!
