  1. Back to the age old problem of audio sync problems on the Toshiba SD210E!!

I contacted the Toshiba help desk and they say that it's the software I'm using to burn the SVCD with. Considering that burning one with Instant CD/DVD does work but burning with Nero/VCDEasy DOESN'T, does anyone know what the difference is between these programs??

I've tried some of the hacks provided on this site to get the audio in sync but it just ain't happening.

  2. 1. The difference is that VOB makes CDs without any search.dat and scandata-files - this means our player only uses the time information directly in the mpg, plays it correctly but cannot use time-jump, menus,...
Strictly seen the SVCDs are non-standard because the mentioned files are mandatory.

    2. If you want to use this my way is to mux the mpg again with bbpeg using the ~dvd setting and:
    VBR: on
    Write program end code: on
    Add SVCD scan offsets: on
    align sequence headers: on
    Use private stream: off
    timestamps: I-frames
    forced mux rate: 0 (=auto)
    size: 2324
    packets: 1
    buffer: 232 - 4 - 4
    delays: 0 - 180 - 180 - 180
In the produced mpg the audio and video header IDs are strange, but our player seems to need that
