HelloI was just wondering if it is possible to buy/burn a vcd onto a 3" cd? The cd's hold 180mb and if they follow the rule, should play around 18 minutes? I never herd of them until this morning, but i found out about them at http://www.cd-rom-works.com/3inch_cd.htm
Has anyone tried/got a vcd on one of these? they fit in dvd players, because my friend said they fit on a little ring.

It should work, as the directory is held on the inner edge of the disc.
You shouldn't need a a ring, as most players (if not all) have a slight depression for inserting these discs. If it is not a horizontally mounted drive you will need a holder. I have seen writeable credit card shaped CDs too, used for promotional purposes. and other shaped CDs, such as teddies and hearts, but that's a bit sad. -
Yep it works fine to burn vcd and svcd on them, they work exactly as ordinary cdrs.

My portable DVD player hates spinning up those little suckers with anything but CD-DA audio on them.

I bought a pack of Verbatim mini-cdrs. They cost twice as much as a 700mb and hold as fraction as much. But they look so cool that everyone needs at least a few. I loaded mp3s onto one and my mp3cd player and standalone player have no troubles with it. I see no reason why a VCD would not work. I wonder how much video you could fit on this using miniDVD!? a few minutes?
