I have had problems with the ASUS P4B motherboard... general USB failures, clock speed problems... sometimes you'd put in memory that was PC133 and it would assume it was PC100 and would work. Then you could put in PC133 and it would say your speed was wrong since it was 133, and the RAM was not. Very odd. ASUS motherboards are usually far better.

Playstation-2 likes to choke on any media other than silvers, from time to time, nothing consistent.

I have had some sort of problem with every CD burner (not DVD-R) I have ever owned... EXCEPT for Plextor burners. I have had 4 before those... a Smart/Friendly, a Sony, a Teac, and a newer Teac. All had technical issues of some sort or another that firmware didn't fix. I first got a plexwriter when they wrote 8x, and never looked back... my current one is the 40/12/40(48). perfection

I had problems with the AMD Athlon socket-A 1.2 and 1.4ghz chips... heat and compatibility issues... a 1.0g t-bird I had was fine.

  2. Just wanted to add that I had a 30 gig Fujitsu Hard Drive die on me a couple of weeks ago. Replaced it with a Samsung 40 gig. Also have a 60 gig Western Digital and have had no problems with it.

  3. Oh, how I hate Fujitsus!!! 3 drives have died on me. One literally went up in smoke. Also Win XP hates some Fujitsus due to the drive not flushing its cache during shutdown and corrupting the HD during boot-up.

I am a huge Samsung fan. Every product I've had have been flawless and exceptional.
