    I want to know how to get my VCR to play a pal tape sent to me by someone in the UK. when i try to play it the picture is scrambled and the sound plays fast. I'm in the U.S. and my VCR is made by DAEWOO. if anyone can help, plese respond. thank you

    If you are living in the usa you will have a ntsc video recorder which only plays ntsc tapes. You need a multi system recorder to play pal or secam tapes.
    Your solution is to get the tape professionally converted from pal to ntsc.
    Alternatively transfer it to vcd if you have the means and then record it back to tape.
