  1. Hello,
I am trying to convert some anime files from divx to vcd.
I use Virtualdub for the audio and tmpeg for the video, as described in the newsbie guide found here on vcdhelp.
I choose ntsc film vcd from the tmpeg's settings because the frame rate of the videos is 23,976. The final mpeg file is fine if I play it on the PC monitor, but when I play it in my television with my DVD player (Panasonic RV31) the picture is a little cropped on the left and right and I loose some subtitles. I have tried other tmpeg settings but the final picture on tv is always cropped.
    Any help?

Under Settings -> Advanced, check your Video Arrange settting. If the original divx has no cropping, then usually centered, keep aspect ratio will work.

Also check that Crop isn't accidently selected from some previous encoding.
