    What is the best program to use to covert 6-channel AC3 streams to wav? I've tried soft encode but that requires too much hard drive space and Azid does not produce good a sound as soft encode. Are there any better programs or which is the best overall?

    ac3dec or dnsenc are both pretty good.

    i downloaded them the other night, but i can't remember from where. i got there from this page though. i'll find out tonight for you

    FlaskMPEG and DVD2AVI both have built in ac3 --> dolby pro logic surround downmix (as a wav file). I've found that flask does a better job with the downmix most times.
