What are the actual differences between these 3 hauppauge cards? From what ive read (though ive not seen much on the 350) there isnt much. Which one would you recommend to me for capturing dvd mpeg2. Has anyone tried using a dvd created with one of these on a ps2? Thanks in advance

The original PVR use the Kfir encoder chip, and the PVR-250/350 use the iCompression chip. So, there is a difference in quality because they use different chips. The PVR-350 (not released yet) will have on-board hardware mpeg decoder (iCompression) and video out for connecting a TV monitor or VCR. The PVR-250 does not have any outputs.

which encoder gives best quality for mpeg2 files then? Also would i be able to connect the tv out on my gf4 to the pvr and (using nview) output a movie through the tv out and capture with the pvr and play games/surf the net etc on the normal monitor?
