  1. HI, Someone help please

Have a Yelo800 DVD player .. I cannot modify the colour/brightness of the picture when i use the scart output. This makes watching movies like Aliens impossible. Changing the settings on the TV has no effect AND i know the TV is ok because if i use a scart output from my new VHS player the picture can be altered in the normal way. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem and is there a solution other than using the one of the other outputs.

  2. I remember i once owned a TV (a GoldStar (LG)). If i used the RGB input from my DVD Player , the Colour/brightness/contrast settings were fixed, and could not be changed... (a quirk of the set apparently). If you can, change the output to composite, or use another scart socket on the TV if it has one. On two or three socketed sets, socket one is usually the only RGB capable one...

  3. AHHHH yes thats it ... i changed the output to YUV (still using the scart cable) and the signal is now adjustable. The TV is a Sanyo and is some years old (1 Scart socket only) so that must be the reason.

Thank you very much indeed for your reply.
