  1. i'm capturing video using pinnacle studio7, which only allows 4gb file captures. if i then add multiple files to the movie, and try to create a complete movie (greater than 4gb), which i then want to encode using tmpgenc, the prog says i can't exceed the linit..if i output the file to my camcorder i can send the whole movie..is there any way around this?...

  2. Use a computer with Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating system and the NTFS file system.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'

  3. Like he said, XP or 2000 and the NTFS file system. FAT32 is what limits the file size to 4GB, NTFS has no relevant file size limit (at least 2 terabytes, gigantic).
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  4. If you are serious about video capturing, upgrade to Win2K or XP is a must. Even though you may have to fight compatibility problems in the beginning, the result is well worth it. There is nothing so cool as capturing a whole movie and then making a DVD. Especially if it is a good movie that has never been released on DVD

Fighting with movie segments is really such a waste of time.

  6. Yes it will, i'm running Studio7 with DC10+
I have done captures of about 20 gig
But for Studio7 get the latest drivers and update (7.13.6 i think) to get it running under XP, don't mind the warning messages you get while installing.
