I read on Roxio's website that I can record a "test run" to my hdd to avoid possibly wasting a cd. Can't figure out how to do this tho. Can someone help me out?

When you installed VP, there was an option to install the DCROM emulator.
Burn the project to an image, then load that image into the CDROM emulator. Play the image with a software DVD player.

No, VideoPack 5.1 can burn it's own images just fine.

VideoPack 5 comes with a cd-rom emulator to emulate the vcd image files it makes. Just use that emulator to test the cd before burning.
