  1. I have backed up 180 episodes of Seinfeld in *.avi and *.mpg format. I have a dvd-r/rw drive and i want to backup these movies so that they are playable in my apex ad-1500 dvd player. I want to be able to ffwd/rwnd through the eoisodes. They arent the best quality, so anything that i can get the most possible movies onto only a few dvds would be the best. I have tmpgenc plus.

  2. also, i dont want to have to spend a long time on this, so if this requires a lot of work, tell me in the beginning.

  3. Before I can tell you if it will be a lot of time, I would need to know several things what bitrate are the mpg files, resolution, processor speed. I can tell you that more than likely your avi files will need to be re-encoded using a re-encoder like TMPGENC.

If your mpg's are VCD or SVCD compliant, then it will be a simple matter of burning them to DVDR/W using a product like nero. Depending on your burn speed that could take x amount if time.
