  1. I was trying to put on a bunch of VCD files on one DVD, the first time I tried it worked perfectly and the DVD-VCD worked perfectly on my standalone player. The disk I am trying to make now has about 12 or 13 21 min files on it and as I begin to write I usually get to about halfway thru and it will say error reading video input. These files are usually files that I have cut for space reasons ie editing out the intro and outra to the episodes. I am thinking that something happens when I use the merge and cut feature in TMPEG. I keep it on MPEG 1 (automatic) and it will load up fine using the add media assets, I am wondering if anyone knew if I was doing something wrong when I cut the files or am I adding too many files?

  2. I just got the same message error a few days ago but I had about 50+ vid clips on the dvd-(s)vcd whatever you want to call it. But now that you mention it the area where the file error occured was around where I had a file I did cut/join the intro from one file to the video of the other. I was concerned that the bitrate (VBR) being different might have been a reason that SpruceUp couldnt read it. I think I will try to reencode the newly joined file using 2-pass VBR to see if a single encoded video will not have the read error problem.

I think the problem may have been that the two file I slapped together were different except the frame size (720x480). The joined file itself plays fine. But try to reencode your cut file and see if you get good results and I'll let you know about my joined file.

  3. Hehe after about two days I got frustrated and deleted all my files, and now I am starting over again. I am trying to get a 24 episode anime series on two DVDs. I am going to try what you said now and see if I dont get better results.
