I have been browsing the internet to find a progressive scan DVD player in the US market for quiet some while. My main issue is to find one that plays region 1 and 2. My kids are growing up to speak english only and I am German speaking as well, wishing I could show them some German spoken cartoons or movies.

Any of you know of a DVD that plays both or can be modified per firmware or codes to play both regions? A link to the website that offers the particular model would be awesome as well.
