I am attempting to created DVDs from AVI files I have. These files are usually 2 which I would like to merge into 1 if I can and then burn to DVD that would be playable on the best percentage of stand alone DVD players. The AVI files are sometimes large (300-600MB).
I was thinking about purchasing a Pioneer A04. Is this ok?
What software would I need? I am willing to spend a few hundred dollars on the software.
Thank you,
Jeff

I have the Pioneer dvr-a03 and Dvr-a04 Both work great. As far as software I use TMPGEnc to ecode and ulead dvd Factory for authoring. I use mpegs so i don't know how good your results would be with avi's but right now i can encode and author a 2 hour movie in 6-10hrs.(encodeing take forever!!)
