    If you really don't want a region free player (are you sure?), then stay put.MacroVision can't be removed with the drive's FW, it's in the player's other hardware (like the infamoues Crystal Chip).MV can be removed with easier HW, like MV remove Video amp (look for data video) or a mod chip, inside the player.

    i did, and after a hard research, i foud out that that trick is only possible when you've bought (and installed...) a modchip.
