    I was thinking about buying the Dansai 1010 from Tescos within the next few days. The only purpose i want it for is to play VCD, SVCD and MP3's. I was wondering if anyone has purcased one recently cause i have read some reviews from other web sites and they have said that the player can play anything, but other sites say it cant play VCD or SVCD. I was wondering if anyone can give me any info about what this player can play.

    Get Dansai 852 or 952 instead.
    The VCD performance is VERY bad and the remote is even worse.

    Do you know if the 852 model is still available to buy. I am from Scotland and i was in Tesco's the other day and i only saw the Dansai 1010 model.
