  1. I try to set the CUSTOM FORMAT to 480x480 and get a little error box saying "unsupported video format" error.

No matter which CUSTOM FORMAT I try, I still get the same error.

What do I need to change? What am I doing wrong. I am looking to capture VHS to AVI so I can make SVCDs.

Any better options? I am following the HOW TO section and it says to do this with VDUB and change the VIDEO FORMAT but I am having this problem.

    Any help is appreciated.

P.S. You guys have helped me with LOTS of my problems with VCD/SVCD and I REALLY appreciate it. I would be lost without my VCDHELP Connection.

  2. Does anyone have any ideas what I need to do for Vdub to let me change the VIDEO FORMAT?

    I am really stuck here.

Any other recommended programs to capture from my VHS via a COMPOSITE input to my AIW 128 NON-PRO card?

    Thanks

  3. From memory 480x480 should be ok. What codec are you using? Some
codecs (esp. hacked ones) have specific frame size rules.

Have you loaded bt87x tweaked drivers???? or are u just
using the vfw drivers that came with the ATI? If so get the tweaked
    drivers.

  4. I don't have any of those drivers. Where do I get them?

So in VDUB do I load a codec first before trying to set a VIDEO FORMAT?

Im mixed up on how to do so.

BIG QUESTION. Would I benefit from purchasing a NEW CAPTURE card that is up to date? This AIW 128 is old by todays standards, could I actually obtain better captures with a newer card?

    Thanks
