Hi all i'm very new to this but want to clean up and take all the logo's off of most of the stuff i have, i've tried running the logo away filter with virtualdub but when i'm done the logo is still there, no i'm assuming i have to set the grid as to where the logo is located for logoaway to delete it, this is were i run into problems, does anyone know if there is a grid or layout that i can look at to determine where the logo is located, please help as like i said i'm really new at this

    When you use Logo away it simply places a block on top of the logo. It does not remove the logo.

    When in use temporary switch the block to black so you can see where it is on the preview, then move it on top of the logo, increasing its size to cover the logo.

    When you have covered it, substitute the black square with one of the others, and see if you can improve they're settings.

    @OzzyFan,

    If the logo(s) you are trying to remove are transparent (see through) and are stationary (non-animated) you should seriously consider DeLogo. It kicks LogoAway's ass every single day of the week -- DeLogo will actually remove the logo instead of just covering it up (or blurring the hell out of it so it looks even worse) like LogoAway does.

    I've been working on a guide to using it at my website below. Eventually I'll get it completed

    If you were to remove the logo, you would end up with a hole

    Would you not ?

  5. Not really King - if you use these filters correctly they actually seem to get the background right much of the time. I have gotten the tmd logos off divx files before encoding (low bitrate crap but....) and just a hint if logo blur remains. Beats the alternative.

    Exactly. DeLogo, provided the logo is even the least bit transparent, will remove the logo by enhancing the area it covers, to bring the background to the foreground, essentially making the logo dissappear (if that all makes any sense)

    In many cases, you don't even need the blur ability (DeLogo calls it "repair") as its "deblend" filter does a more than excellent job. "repair" (or blur) is more for logo's that are not transparent and thus cannot be removed by the deblend feature.

    Basically, if you can see the picture through the logo, DeLogo can remove it and, if done properly, you'll never know there was a logo there to begin with.

    I don't do a TVCap-->SVCD without it

    Yes BUT Logo-away, when used correctly does exactly the same thing. Well apart from having to save out Bitmap's of still frames, what a joke
