  1. I have some home vids and stuff that i would like to get on my computer. Ive tried looking thru some posts but im confused. I dont have a capture card and would like to know what would be the best one. any suggestions. Also for future reference is it possible to hook anything up to a capture card.. like a dvd player, camcorder, even a tv? Will I need a program too? Thanks in advance.

  2. man i got what you need. the best cature card i have used is the dazzle 2 and yes you can hook up advd vcr camcorder digital camera and a TV to it and record anything and the software lets you edit alot. here is the site. www.dazzle.com

  3. before laying out some bucks, do a search on the dazzle product to 1)make sure it is compatible with your system (you didn't fill out any computer details so I can't help you there) 2)see if it will get you the results you want to eventually get to.

I, personally, have a ATI-TV wonder card (the TV wonder ve is on sale at I believe best buy/curcuity city/compusa for $20-40 after rebate) (didn't fill out your profile so I have no idea where in the world you are so can't advise you about that) and use powervcrII 3.0 with the patches and tweeks and get very good SVCD copies from analogue video and cable TV (about 90% original quality)

I'd recommend scouring this site (using the search function) for different capture cards and see which one gets you where you want to go....
