  1. I'm trying to convert a bunch of .dat files off of my CD's so that I can put them onto dvd. I'm using TMPGEnc and I'm de-multiplexing the .dat into separate audio and video files. The episodes split fine except for a few which for some reason, no matter how many times I try to split them, the fiels were cut. One episode went from being 20 minutes long to just 7 minutes, another only made it to 10 minutes. When I retry it they both get cut off at the same point.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Or another program to try? I've tried VCDcutter but that only cut 5 seconds of film.

    Thanks.

Sounds like there is a problem with the original mpeg's TMPGEnc is seeing the end of file at that gap. Are you loading the dat file onto your hard drive before use ?, if you are then you may need to run them though TMPGEnc "Encode" to get past the problem before you can split.

VCD Gear 2, also helps with Dat to Mpeg
