Question 1: What advantage does converting your mpeg files to ac3 have. I have heard that it is very compressed and will give you more space on your dvd's. Is this true?
Question 2: I am capturing with a dazzle dvc2 card using twnh. I am capturing at a maxed bit rate into mpeg 2 using vbr. I am trying to get as close to perfect as possible. I want to be able to produce dvd's of my favorite tv series that are better then VHS. I am caputuring in the svideo input. Is there a better way to capture or better settings? I would like to get 2-4 40mins episodes on one dvd+r disc. Will converting the mp2 audio to ac3 help me with that? Am i using the correct settings for the kind of qualtiy i wont or am i over doing it?
Question 3: If i capture using the seperate audio file option it makes two files one mv2 and mpa. How would i convert the mpa to ac3 and the remerge them? It will not let me load the mv2 file into dvdit pe. Also if i use the normal mp2 file in dvdit and tell it to convert all audio to ac3 it doesn't seem to save me any space.
Thanks for the help..
Paul
