weird vcdeasy problem

i converted a divx to svcd then cut it with bbmpeg. then i went to burn it with vcdeasy. when i add the file it shows up as 653mb,but when it actually starts to write it shows up(in the progress bar) as 259 mb? does anyone know how to fix this?

Under the Tools section of VCDEasy, there is an "Mpeg Scan" function. Run it on your mpg. I'll guess that there is a problem with your mpg somewhere around the 259mb mark, though VCDEasy doesn't inform you of this and simply adds the file anyway

If it finds any error(s), the only way I've been able to fix them is by re-encoding the file again (basically start over from scratch).
