    why doesnt everyone just rip in SVCD

    i mean they are around the same quality its just when u wanna burn something to watch to your dvd with dirx u have to bother with encoding

  2. aside from any difference in quality, DivX produces very small files. Ideal for p2p file sharing / downloading / ftp etc..

    A High Quality Divx file properly encoded into an Mpeg1 & burned into the VCD format, makes for excellent Viewing.
    Trust me, dump the SVCD stuff & go VCD, The quality is just FINE & you can put a Movie on 2 CD-R's or even 1 CD-R if you use Kwag's Template.
