  1. i'm new to the VCD world - using cyberlink powerdirector with a geforce 4600 vivo card - captured a 2 hour video to mpeg format, but when i try to use nero 5.5.4.0 to make a VCD, it won't fit the 1.2gb file on the CD - from what I hear, there should be some type of compression of the mpeg going on, but I don't know exactly what I'm doing wrong....can somebody tell me what's up, I feel like I'm so close yet so far.......

You will have to split the file into 2 files that will fit on 2 CD-R's. I use TMPEGenc to cut my mpg files. Also check out the how to section to your left. You Can fit aprox about 700 Mbs on 74 min CD-R 800Mbs on 80 min CD-R.
May the force be with you.
