    I have a ATI all i wonder RADEON tv card. im having problems with the audio, when i capture something with the tv program, it only rec the video, but no audio. there is audio when im capturing it, but after i save it and reproduce, it doesnt reproduce audio.. whats the matter with it??? i already reinstalled all the drivers..

  2. have you checked the obvious things(i.e. making sure the software you use is set correctly). Actually it would help if you told us what the software was(i.e. MMC, powervcrII, VIVO, etc.). The ATI software (and most of the others) have something where you have to set the recorded file to specifically record audio.

    When are you having the problem(i.e. when you play it on your standalone -what kind is it, on your computer, does the DAT file play OK).......

  3. I encounter the same "problem" with my ATI AIW 128. After a while I discovered that the basic audio settings (from w98) causes the problem. Try the W98 Volume Control-options-settings-radio button "record"-"OK"-and make a selection. In my case I always have to choose for "mixed output". For some reason I have to install that option every time I start VirtualDub for capture.
    (By the way: avoid capturing with MMC. VirtualDub in comb. with HuffYuv freeware is much better).

    I hope this is the solution also in your case.

    make sure you have the the right cable and the right jack..line in selected for audio input and the cable plugged into line in on the sound card...go in to sound properties make sure" line" is selected
