And the moive is Scooby-doo And they work fine if I play them off my HD. The file name is "scooby.p1.svcd"
Thanks so much!

Do I even need to burn it as a super VCD in nero or can I just burn the file on to cd?? Becuse when I burn it as a super vcd it adds some folders on to the CD... Becuasue all I am really doing is watching the movies on my computer with power dvd... Thanks

why do you want to watch it in power dvd?
once you change the format its no longer dvd format power dvd reads dvd's not svcd's
try to play that movie in windows media player -

Well when I put the cd in the driveand try to open the MPEG folder it wont open... like its a bad copy or something....
And when I DL moives what format should I be looking for??Yes I am a newbie!!! -
No you dont need VCD or SVCD or DVD
If you just want to watch movies on the computer you dont even have to burn ...unless your just doing that to save em...without taking up hard drive space. If you just want to store a bunch of movies to disc just burn em as files to the cd.....as far as format...AVI has real good compression ...so the quality for the file size ratio will be better than most others....
You can then just put cd in drive and open in Windows Media Player ( make sure you have installed all the necessary codecs..for divx...smr ..ect)
and watch away.
Also if you burned SVCD you should be able to read (in windows explorer) entire cd and any folder or contents there in with your CDrom drive...other wise it probly was corupted or bad burn.....Also if you use PowerDVD wont play it like a SVCD even if it was a good copy...because you arnt using a DVDrom drive ..Right?
